Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical System Design

• Develop detailed designs for HV/MV/LV substations including one-line diagrams, GA drawings, schematics, cable sizing, and layout plans.
• Prepare and update Design Basis Reports (DBR), technical specifications, and engineering standards.
• Perform equipment sizing for transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, circuit breakers, isolators, and busbars.
• Design AC/DC auxiliary systems, earthing/grounding systems, and lighting & power distribution for substations.

2. Electrical System Studies

• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, harmonics, and arc-flash studies using industry-standard software (ETAP/DIgSILENT or equivalent).
• Carry out protection coordination studies, relay settings calculation, and review of protection logic and schemes.
• Analyze grid interconnection requirements and prepare compliance documentation.

3. Protection & Control Engineering

• Develop and review protection SLDs, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and logic diagrams.
• Select protective relays and prepare relay configuration files and setting sheets.
• Ensure proper coordination between protection, metering, and automation systems (SCADA/PLC).
