The Assistant Manager will be responsible for coordinating on-site operational activities related to door-to-door waste collection and material recovery facility (MRF) operations in Diu. The role involves preparing and maintaining operational reports, ensuring effective communication among field teams and stakeholders, and assisting in the smooth execution of daily tasks as per defined service standards. The ideal candidate should possess a hands-on attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic field environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in supervising daily door-to-door waste collection and related field operations.
Assist in monitoring activities at the MRF (Material Recovery Facility), including sorting, baling, storage, and dispatch of recyclables.
Supervise on-site activities, monitor field staff performance, and report operational updates to the Manager.
Maintain and submit operational reports, attendance records, and performance metrics as required.
Ensure upkeep and proper usage of field vehicles, tools, and safety equipment.
Act as a liaison between field staff and the Manager to ensure clear communication and task delegation.
Assist in addressing community feedback and support awareness campaigns around waste segregation and hygiene.
Collaborate with vendors, municipal staff, and local stakeholders to support operational goals.
Monitor compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards at all times.
Perform data collection, reporting, and analysis to support planning and performance reviews.
Maintain and oversee the complaint register at site, ensuring timely logging, tracking, and closure of operational.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in field operations, preferably in waste management or similar sectors.
Experience in coordinating with field teams and stakeholder.
Familiarity with local geography and municipal functioning.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and digital reporting tools.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license with willingness to travel locally.
Flexibility to work early morning shifts or weekends as required by field operations.
