Team description

The FX Technical Certification and Onboarding team are responsible for ensuring that clients are migrated effectively onto LSEG FX sell-side APIs and that client trading software is certified against LSE, Turquoise, TRADEcho and FX market FIX specifications. The team is technically focused but client facing as they are ensuring technical needs are met both internally and externally so that migrations are completed effectively and on time.

Role Description

The Technical Certification and Onboarding Assistant Manager is responsible for a variety of technical FIX onboarding requests across FXAll sell-side clients as well as software certifications for various markets/services (Across Equities and FX landscape). This will range from simple code-to-us migrations, to more sophisticated code-to-them onboarding requests for larger clients. The assistant manager will use their understanding of the internal technical systems, as well as their knowledge of LSEG FIX specifications to ensure that clients are onboarded and certified to their exact requirements. On top of this, they will be responsible for leading the team in Bangalore and managing the daily affairs of the local team, reporting into the team Manager in London. The team is also responsible for working with internal teams such as Product, Dev and Sales/Relationship Management teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the running of core business processes on a day-to-day basis by proactively identifying issues, driving resolutions, and implementing process improvements.
  • Become a domain expert on internal specifications for each FIX API to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Use technical skills to automate manual processes via scripting.
  • Keep up to date with products and services to maintain quality of service during the launch of new products, projects and service changes and ensure the team achieve readiness for key events in the department calendar.
  • Work closely with Product and dev teams to ensure client requirements are understood, developed, and tested accurately.
  • Build specialist knowledge to analyse sophisticated data and determine and implement resolutions to operational risks in an accurate and timely manner, raising operational risks where expertise is required.
  • Analyse FIX messaging between LSEG and customers/vendors, looking at any messages/tags that do not align with specifications and working with dev teams internally and externally to solve these issues.
  • Working with Product teams internally to consistently improve FIX specifications across all APIs according to client feedback.
  • Managing day-to-day operations in Bangalore team, acting as team lead and line manager.
  • Act as liaison between team manager in London and Bangalore certification team.

  • FIX knowledge with multiple years in FIX-based role
  • FX/Equities market knowledge
  • Good Technical knowledge/experience - Scripting/Python/Java valuable but not vital
  • Proven Customer Service Skills
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • People Management/Leadership experience and skills
Helpful
  • Technical skills - SQL, Network Connectivity, Process Documentation, Electronic Trading systems and Market Data familiarity, CRM Tools (Jira/Salesforce), Excel
  • Recent experience in a similar technical customer service role supporting financial clients; including testing experience.
  • Financial Industry experience.
