Entity: Marsh As a part of the Data Analytics team, in Knowledge Services function of Marsh McLennan Global Services (MMGS) the colleague would support the Analytics Solutions team in UK. The role is in Mumbai Hiranandani Office of MMGS. Job Title: Assistant Manager, Claims, Analytics Solutions (UK) What can you expect? The Data Analytics and Reporting team within Knowledge Services works closely across teams Globally providing bespoke analytics solutions, visualizations, claims data management to name a few. The role requires the team member to:

• Liaise closely with the data analytics team members in UK and support them with insurance analytics projects
• Participate in the ongoing development of business systems and procedures to ensure accurate and meaningful management information is available to support the business objective of Marsh and its client(s)
• Contribute to the achievement of Marsh service level agreements, key performance indicators and business objectives through the provision of management information
• Help capture data from multiple sources into standard templates which forms the basis of various analytics and benchmarking projects
• Create reports and arrive at insights from the data and trends captured over time to time

• Develop a thorough understanding of the insurance business and the associated data
• Undertake accurate downloads from systems and secure data necessary to facilitate accurate and timely reporting
• Harmonize and standardize the data to make it ready for data analytics and benchmarking
• Analyze performance trends and investigate anomalies, advising management and Marsh accordingly
• Provide an accurate, responsive, cost-effective and value-adding management and operational reporting service to Marsh colleagues and clients, satisfying their ad-hoc and regular reporting needs
• Identify and develop opportunities for improving content and/or delivery of the reports
• Provide data and reporting advice and support to relevant colleagues, clients and stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong working relationships, including effective communication, with colleagues, clients and third parties
• Take responsibility for own personal development and behavior, maintaining and improving knowledge and skills
• Analyze and perform in-depth analysis of the data to arrive at insights
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders in UK to understand the evolving needs of the business and incorporate those in the outputs
• Collaborate with other teams within Knowledge Services, Mumbai to enhance the current proposition

What you need to have: Education

• Essential – Graduates preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics
• Desirable - Other certified courses in the Insurance and Financial domains

Work Experience

• 3 to 5 year experience in any data analytics and insight role (insurance will be an added advantage)

Knowledge and Expertise

• High verbal and written standards of communication with the ability to talk about data and reports in a meeting situation, with people of different levels of engagement
• Demonstrated ability of data interpretation and mathematical linkages
• Ability to arrange and synthesize data and information from multiple sources
• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate to Expert level proficiency in VBA Macros
• Excellent project management skills
• Work under strict deadlines and turnaround time
• Ability to work in a multi stakeholder environment
