Development and origination of design concepts, analyse and resolve associated technical problems, code compliance, conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates and assist in both long range and short-term strategic planning, and manpower planning
Develop detailed engineering, create bid packages, including finalized drawings, specifications, soil test data and/or other related information
Prepare the ECA for each project complete with all necessary information required to judge economic benefits of a particular project

Oversee the execution of construction plans on-site

Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).

Investigate alternatives and perform value engineering throughout construction process
Collaborating with engineers, surveyors, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
Develop a strategic internal communication plan that outlines who needs to be informed, when, and through which channels
Overseeing and guiding the construction process, ensuring that the project adheres to the planned design, quality standards, and safety regulations
Ensure that changes are controlled, minimizing disruptions and aligning the project with its goals.
Maintaining a clear record of decisions, progress, and lessons learned, supporting transparency
Managing project deadlines and budgets, and making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track
Addressing any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process
Stay updated with emerging construction technologies, automation tools (e.g., BIM, drone surveys), and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
Attend industry seminars, leadership development programs, and certifications in advanced project management or safety standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by initiating internal training sessions and cross-functional learning among teams.
Benchmark and implement best practices from successful large-scale projects.
Mentor mid-level engineers and successors to build internal leadership pipeline.
Identify gaps in site processes and recommend process engineering or digital interventions for efficiency.
Performance management involves setting clear expectations for team members, monitoring their progress, and providing constructive feedback.
