Job Description


This role is part of the overall UK&I FP&A team based out of Bangalore. The responsibilities include supporting the budget and forecasting process of Functional Spend across the UK&I cluster. This role will also involve review of the budgeting and forecasting process, detailed variance analysis of the spend, identifying problem areas and proposing scenario-based solutions. Additionally, this role requires analysis of time allocations and expense trends; and is expected to create and update trackers/ repositories on a monthly basis.

The role requires building and analysing functional spend of approximately \xc2\xa370m in central departments including IT, Finance, HR, Facilities and Legal, while supporting department leads in both review of actuals and preparation of forecasts and budgets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support finance projects including backlog clearance, process improvements, best practice adoption & system implementation / tech adoption across entities in the US. Track the progress on backlogs and publish the status periodically.
  • Support in Review of Balance Sheet reconciliations, risk analysis and work with the teams to develop & implement appropriate controls
  • Work with Controller/Assistant Controller on ad hoc tasks and deliverables on financial control & compliance areas. Flag issues and help in clearing any bottlenecks/ issues identified as a part of projects.
  • Work on any changes or remediation projects like JSOX controls implementation, annual controls self-certification process or Group\xe2\x80\x99s Internal Control Framework implementation
  • Review & assess impact of any policy changes, group/regional reporting requirements, processes re alignment & changes in internal control framework. Ensure the impact and change is understood, discussed with FC on a timely manner.
  • Support during Internal audit, local stat audit & year end group audit process.
  • Coordinate with \xe2\x80\x9cIn Market Finance Teams\xe2\x80\x9d (IMFT), Regional team, Commercial finance, Operational finance team (3rd party service provider) and CCoE team in driving these projects.
  • Support the transitional activities for the US market in collaboration with CCoE Lead & Regional Finance Services team.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with markets and the corporate centre, collaborating with and providing decision support to leaders within the wider controllership team as required.


Professional Skills
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting, Consolidation, Financial reporting. Proficient in technical accounting and IFRS.
  • Proficient in technical accounting and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP would be preferable
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) and Blackline tool will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities.
  • Agile and flexible to changing needs and adhoc requirements
