The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing hospital operations, patient care services, quality standards, and overall administration. The GM ensures smooth functioning of all departments, compliance with healthcare regulations, and continuous improvement in patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day hospital operations across clinical and non-clinical departments.
Implement hospital policies, SOPs, and ensure compliance with healthcare laws.
Monitor facility management, safety, and hygiene standards.
Patient Care & Satisfaction
Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Address escalated patient issues and resolve concerns promptly.
Review patient feedback and initiate service improvements.
Quality, Compliance & Accreditation
Maintain hospital compliance with NABH/ISO/other accreditation standards.
Conduct audits on hospital processes, safety, and infection control.
Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Development
Develop strategies for hospital growth, new services, and facilities.
Collaborate with doctors, healthcare providers, and external partners.
Introduce modern healthcare practices and technologies.
Liaison & Communication
Act as a bridge between hospital management, doctors, staff, and patients.
Represent the hospital with external agencies, community programs, and conferences.
Emergency & Crisis Management
Ensure hospital readiness for emergencies, outbreaks, and disasters.
Supervise emergency preparedness drills and staff training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
Minimum 1 years of experience in hospital administration/healthcare management.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of healthcare laws, compliance standards, and hospital operations.
