Job Purpose The job holder is accountable for the following activities: To execute calibration schedule of all the instruments and ensure there is no skip or overdue of calibration activity. To attend instrument related breakdowns to minimize loss of production time. To attend control system issues pertaining to Utility & process equipment. Key Responsibilities Calibrate & maintain standard test instruments in validated state as defined in the GSK quality policies. Adherence to EAM calibration schedule and review calibration reports issued by the external calibration agencies for its correctness. Ensure safe working of protective devices and alarms & trips in area of ownership. (Boiler, Dust collectors, FBDs etc.) Maintenance of control systems, Building Management System, Biometric access systems, CCTV systems on site. Must have knowledge of detailed resource (including spares) planning including job allocation and co-ordination with production & other departments, including procurement, Quality, EHS. Problem solving at shop floor- Perform RCA of breakdown and develop CAPA. Work on robust solution to avoid repetitive issues. Daily interaction with technician / Contractor with production and cross-functional team for calibration planning & equipment availability. Support functions - Support effective & timely QMS / GES implementation & improvement within the respective area of accountability by ensuring the implementation of the requirements Adherence to guidelines/ Compliance - Ensures that work permit procedure and ZAP is followed as per EHS guidelines. Ensures Documentation, calibration record retention is as per site document retention policy. Prepare SOPs and maintain all the relevant documents in the area of accountability. Knowledge/ Education / Experience Required A. Educational Background B.E/Diploma or equivalent in Instrumentation Engineering Area of Specialisation Calibration of Instruments. End-to -End understanding of PLC, BMS, SCADA systems including Standards, Design, Installation, Maintenance aspects, Appropriate electronic system for QMS action tracking/closure. B. Job-Related Experience 10+ years experience in Pharmaceutical Plant handling Instrument Calibration program, Equipment Validation and documentation and Plant Maintenance. C. Other Job-Related Skills/Background Knowledge of Instrument Calibration guidelines, cGMP. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels and across functions.
