Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, AP - Travel & Expenses
Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead training programs to enhance team knowledge of best practices in cash management. Mentor team members and stay updated on industry trends and changes.
  • Travel expense oversight: Supervise the processing and approval of travel expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Implement verification processes to maintain accurate records.
  • Expense reporting: Prepare detailed reports on travel expenses, providing insights into spending patterns and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
  • Policy compliance: Ensure adherence to travel and expense policies, minimizing risks and preventing fraud. Develop strategies to enhance policy compliance across the organization.
  • Process optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the travel and expense management function. Enhance efficiency and accuracy through innovative solutions.
  • Stakeholder communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners, such as travel agencies and vendors, to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues related to travel expenses.
  • Data management: Oversee the management and maintenance of accurate records of travel expenses in accounting systems. Ensure data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
Relevant years of experience in managing AP, Employee T&E, payments & Payroll
Experience in working with Oracle and AP / Payroll tools would be added advantage
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
