Job Description

Role Overview



The Assistant Manager - Accounts & Finance will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end financial operations of the organization, including accounting, taxation, financial reporting, treasury management, regulatory compliance, and audit coordination. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in accounting systems, and a solid understanding of Indian accounting standards and taxation laws.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Ind AS and statutory requirements. Handle direct and indirect tax processes including GST, TDS, income tax filings, assessments, and regulatory submissions. Ensure timely and accurate posting of entries in the books of accounts and assist in the closure of accounts. Support internal and statutory audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial policies and legal standards. Manage banking operations, treasury functions, and maintain effective relationships with banks and financial stakeholders. Monitor working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management. Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, accounting standards, and statutory compliance. Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and government authorities as necessary.

Key Competencies



Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation laws. Proficiency in ERP systems (Zoho or similar) along with strong MS Excel skills. Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial implications for decision-making. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across functions.

Qualifications



Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0-2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and finance. Experience in international transactions, transfer pricing, and cross-border tax compliance is an added advantage. Prior experience in telecom, satellite, technology, or similar industries is preferred but not mandatory.
