The Assistant Manager - Accounts will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations (GST & TDS), and coordinating statutory audits. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting standards relevant to the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure accurate
GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and ITC reconciliation)
Manage
TDS deductions, payments, and return filings (26Q, 24Q, 27Q, etc.)
Stay updated with tax laws related to construction businesses
Handle
tax assessments, notices, and queries from authorities
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Oversee
day-to-day accounting transactions
(Journal Entries, Ledger Scrutiny, Bank Reconciliation)
Maintain
accounts payable & receivable
, ensuring timely vendor payments and collections
Prepare
auditors for statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits
Ensure
proper documentation and record-keeping
for audit requirements
Assist in
preparing schedules and reconciliations
for audits
4. Other Compliance
Handle
contractor & sub-contractor payments
in compliance with taxation laws
Ensure compliance with
ROC filings & other statutory obligations
Required Qualifications & Skills:
1.
Education:
CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / B.Com with relevant experience
2. Experience:
4-8 years in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
3.
Software Skills:
Tally ERP, SAP, MS Excel, GST & TDS filing portals
4. Key Skills:
Taxation, Auditing, Financial Reporting, Cost Control
