Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Assistant Manager - Finance
to oversee core finance and accounting functions including financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of finance standards, and the ability to support critical decision-making for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements - Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
Conduct variance analysis pertaining to revenue, costs, margins, and cash flows.
Develop and maintain MIS dashboards to support management insights.
Support budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Lead timely and accurate closing of books with appropriate accounting entries.
Review accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other closing schedules.
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for audit requirements.
Assist in finalization of Balance Sheet schedules and yearly financial reports.
3. Accounts Management
Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and books of accounts.
Handle day-to-day accounting entries including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers, and inter-company accounts.
Monitor and maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
4. Compliance & Controls
Manage GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation) and TDS returns.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, PT, ESIC, Income Tax, etc.
Ensure adherence to applicable Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
Strengthen internal financial controls, processes, and documentation.
5. Cash & Treasury Management
Monitor daily collections, bank balances, and fund movement.
Manage vendor payments, payment cycle planning, and cash flow forecasting.
Support cost control initiatives and financial risk monitoring.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Taxation, and Statutory Compliances.
Hands-on experience in Tally ERP and Focus software.
Proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, and team management abilities.
