Role & Responsibilities
? Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
? Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
? Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities and ensure compliance with reporting timelines.
? Manage statutory compliances such as GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory filings.
? Oversee vendor payments, customer billing, collections, and payroll accounting.
? Coordinate and liaise with auditors (internal, external, and statutory) for audits and compliance checks.
? Monitor budgets, assist in financial forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
? Ensure strong internal controls are maintained, recommend improvements where necessary.
? Support reconciliation activities across banks, payment gateways, wallets, and financial partners.
? Analyze financial data to assist senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
? Mentor, guide, and review the work of junior accounts team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter/ MBA Finance preferred).
6+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and compliance roles.
Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS/IGAAP), financial regulations, and compliance practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERPs like SAP/Oracle.
Expertise in GST compliance, TDS management, and preparation of financial statements.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, financial models, reconciliations).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of RBI compliance and regulations related to financial transactions (preferred).
Hands-on experience in automating financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
