Job Title: Assistant Knitting Foreman

Location: New Tiruppur

Department: Knitting Division

Reporting to: Knitting Manager / Production Head

Experience:1-3 Years in Circular/Flat Knitting

Qualification: ITI or relevant experience in knitting operations

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee day-to-day knitting operations, ensuring efficient production, machine utilization, and quality control of knitted fabrics as per production planning and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Help t0 Supervise all knitting floor activities and ensure continuous production with minimum downtime.

Monitor machine performance, output, and quality on shift basis.

Machine Handling:

Operate and maintain circular knitting machines (Single Jersey, Interlock, Rib, etc.).

Ensure machines are properly set with needles, cams, and yarn feeders as per fabric specs.

Raw Material Handling:

Ensure proper feeding of yarn cones, lot identification, and minimal wastage.

Coordinate with the yarn store for yarn availability and lot changes.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain shift production logs, machine breakdown reports, and operator performance.

Submit daily and weekly reports to the knitting manager.

Key Skills & Competencies:

technical knowledge of circular knitting machines (Mayer & Cie, Pailung, etc.).

Ability to troubleshoot knitting faults and guide operators efficiently.

Experience with knitted fabric structures and yarn specifications.

Basic computer knowledge for reporting and log entry.
