The Assistant IT Manager will support and oversee all aspects of Information Technology operations at the resort, ensuring seamless connectivity, system reliability, data security, and user support. The role requires hands-on experience in managing hotel PMS, POS, networking systems, and guest technology services, maintaining high standards in line with resort and brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Systems Management
Assist in managing and maintaining Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and other hospitality-related software.
Ensure all systems and hardware function efficiently, minimizing downtime.
Coordinate with vendors for updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
2. Network & Infrastructure
Maintain the resort's LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and server infrastructure.
Ensure network security through proper configuration, firewalls, and antivirus management.
Monitor bandwidth usage and ensure smooth connectivity for guests and staff.
3. Data Security & Backup
Implement and monitor data backup and recovery procedures.
Safeguard sensitive company and guest information in compliance with IT policies.
Support cybersecurity measures and report any security breaches immediately.
4. User Support & Training
Provide technical assistance to all departments for hardware, software, and networking issues.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on system usage and IT best practices.
Maintain IT support logs and ensure timely issue resolution.
5. Asset & Vendor Management
Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and licenses.
Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and maintenance.
Evaluate new technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
6. Reporting & Compliance
Assist in budget planning for IT equipment and software.
Ensure compliance with resort IT policies and brand standards.
Generate periodic performance and maintenance reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum
4 years of experience in hospitality IT operations
(preferably in resorts or 4/5-star hotels).
Strong knowledge of PMS, POS, and hotel network systems.
Experience with CCTV, access control systems, and server management.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
