The Assistant HR will support HR operations for construction and service projects, with a
strong focus on payroll processing, labour compliances, and site HR coordination
. The role requires
regular travel to multiple project sites
to ensure proper manpower management, statutory compliance, attendance accuracy, and smooth HR functioning at site level.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management
Prepare and process monthly payroll for
site and office staff
Manage wages, overtime, incentives, deductions, advances, and arrears
Coordinate with accounts/finance for timely salary and wage disbursement
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee master data
Prepare and submit statutory challans, returns, and reports on time
Maintain labour registers, muster rolls, wage registers, and compliance files
Coordinate with labour consultants, auditors, and inspectors during inspections
Site HR Operations
Regular visits to construction sites for HR coordination and monitoring
Ensure proper manpower deployment and attendance discipline
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors
Resolve site-level HR and labour-related issues
Attendance & Leave Management
Monitor daily attendance and muster rolls at sites
Follow up on absenteeism and irregular attendance
Maintain leave records and attendance reports for payroll
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in recruitment of site staff, supervisors, and labour
Coordinate joining formalities, documentation, and ID issuance
Support induction and deployment at project sites
Employee Records & Documentation
Maintain employee personal files and statutory documents
Update HRMIS and manual registers
Ensure documentation compliance for audits and inspections
HR Reporting & Coordination
Prepare HR MIS, payroll summaries, and compliance reports
Support Group HR Head in HR planning and audits
Assist in disciplinary actions, notices, and warning letters
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR / Commerce / Business Administration
Strong hands-on experience in Payroll & Labor Law Compliances
5+ years of HR experience in
Construction / Service Industry
Good knowledge of
contract labor management
Proficiency in MS Excel, payroll systems, and HR documentation
Willingness to
travel frequently to multiple sites
Strong coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
Male candidate with site HR exposure
Experience handling large workforce and contractors
Ability to work independently under guidance of Group HR Head
Detail-oriented, disciplined, and field-ready mindset
