SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY


To lead and manage the overall planning and coordination of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, timely execution, and compliance with regulatory and technical standards.

Job Responsibilities



Strategic Planning & Execution


Develop and implement strategic plans for BESS deployment in alignment with company goals. Evaluate market trends and regulatory frameworks to identify BESS opportunities. Define KPIs and roadmaps for BESS project rollouts.

Project Coordination


Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and finance to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor progress across multiple BESS projects to ensure time, cost, and quality targets are met. Ensure integration of BESS with grid, solar, wind, or other energy assets where applicable.

Stakeholder Management


Liaise with government bodies, utilities, and regulatory authorities for approvals and compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding BESS planning and updates.

Budgeting & Resource Planning


Prepare budgets, forecasts, and resource plans for BESS projects. Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation.

Risk & Compliance Management


Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership


Lead and mentor a team of planners, analysts, and coordinators. Drive continuous improvement in planning methodologies and tools.




Proven leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent project management and planning capabilities (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).

Deep understanding of the BESS value chain - from design to deployment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Measurable Deliverables



At least 10+ years specific to BESS, energy storage, or hybrid power systems.
Knowledge of global BESS standards (e.g., UL 9540, IEC 62933, IEEE 1547).

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or related fields.

MS Office & Project, Knowledge of SAP is preferred Strong understanding of grid integration, energy storage systems, and regulatory compliance.
