Position Overview
The
AGM - MEP Services
will be responsible for
leading the design, execution, and delivery
of Fire Fighting and HVAC projects from concept to handover. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and project management skills to ensure all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
Lead and oversee multiple
Fire Fighting and HVAC projects
across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Prepare and review
project execution plans, material submittals, BOQs, and technical drawings (AutoCAD / Revit)
.
Supervise the
installation, testing, and commissioning
of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, and HVAC systems.
Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining cost control, material optimization, and adherence to quality standards.
2. Technical Expertise
Possess in-depth knowledge of
NFPA, NBC, IS Codes, ASHRAE
, and other relevant Indian and international standards.
Design and review
pump room layouts
,
pipe sizing
,
ducting
,
air distribution systems
, and
smoke management systems
.
Conduct technical audits and ensure compliance with statutory norms and client specifications.
Validate hydraulic and air flow calculations, pressure drops, and pump head requirements.
3. Team Leadership
Lead a cross-functional team of
Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians
.
Conduct regular team meetings, project reviews, and performance evaluations.
Guide site teams in troubleshooting, material planning, and coordination with vendors and consultants.
Foster a culture of accountability, technical learning, and safety compliance.
4. Coordination & Client Management
Act as the
technical interface
between clients, consultants, architects, and internal departments.
Coordinate with procurement, design, and finance teams for project budgeting and billing milestones.
Attend project review meetings, site inspections, and client presentations.
Resolve on-site challenges with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
5. Quality, Safety & Documentation
Implement and monitor
quality assurance and control (QA/QC)
procedures at project sites.
Ensure all installations follow
IS standards
, manufacturer guidelines, and safety regulations.
Maintain complete project documentation -- drawings, test reports, commissioning certificates, and handover records.
Ensure fire & HVAC systems pass all third-party inspections and approvals.
Required Technical Competencies
Expert-level knowledge in
Fire Fighting Systems
:
Fire Hydrant & Sprinkler Systems
Wet riser & Downcomer Systems
Fire Pump Room Layouts (Jockey, Main & Diesel Pumps)
Fire Alarm and Detection Systems
Pipeline grading (Class B/C), pressure testing, flow tests
Proficiency in
HVAC Systems
:
VRF/VRV, Chiller, AHU, FCU, and Exhaust systems
Duct design, heat load calculation, and air balancing
Control systems and integration with BMS
Strong command over
AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and Excel-based BOQ tracking
.
Exposure to
project estimation, costing, and tendering
processes.
Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
(mandatory)
Additional certifications in
Fire & Safety Engineering / HVAC Design / PMP
will be preferred.
Experience & Background
Minimum
10 years of experience
in MEP industry, with at least
5 years in a managerial or leadership role
.
Proven track record of managing
turnkey Fire Fighting and HVAC projects
for high-rise buildings, industrial plants, or commercial complexes.
Strong understanding of project costing, material management, and vendor coordination.
