Plan, organize, and monitor daily and shift-wise production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Supervise and coordinate Line Supervisors, Operators, Line Inspectors, and shop-floor workers across all shifts to ensure smooth workflow.
Assist in daily production planning, shift-wise target setting, and report production status, output, and major issues to the HOD.
Monitor machine utilization, minimize downtime, and coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and process sheets; take corrective actions for deviations.
Verify and ensure timely and accurate completion of all production-related documents, including inspection reports, checklists, and rejection records.
Track and reduce rejection, rework, and downtime through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor raw material availability, raise material requisitions, and maintain inventory control of materials, tools, gauges, fixtures, and consumables.
Enforce safety protocols, PPE usage, housekeeping standards, and ensure implementation of 5S on the shop floor.
Conduct regular on-the-floor checks to ensure process compliance and operational discipline.
Maintain shop-floor hygiene, cleanliness, and proper tool and fixture control to prevent loss or damage.
Evaluate operator performance and recommend training, skill development, or job rotation as required.
Collect, analyze, and prepare daily and periodic reports on production, quality, downtime, manpower, and absenteeism.
Participate in daily morning meetings, production reviews, and coordination meetings with HOD and management.
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch teams for seamless operations.
Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness of shop-floor documentation.
Monitor shift changeovers to ensure proper communication and handover between shifts.
Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Handle emergency situations such as machine failure or manpower shortages with prompt decision-making.
Maintain discipline on the shop floor, resolve minor conflicts, and escalate critical issues to the HOD when required.
