Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Fire & Security Manager :
Security Management & Operations
xc3x98 Supervise the security department including recruitment, scheduling, and team management.
xc3x98 Monitor entrances, exits, back-of-house, and guest floors using CCTV and patrols.
xc3x98 Handle all access control points (guest rooms, staff lockers, service areas, deliveries, etc.)
Surveillance & Incident Response
xc3x98 Respond promptly to emergencies (theft, intrusion, guest disturbances, fire alerts).
xc3x98 Coordinate with local police or emergency services when required.
xc3x98 Investigate all reported incidents; maintain confidential and detailed incident reports.
Guest & Staff Safety
xc3x98 Ensure discreet protection of VIP guests and high-profile events.
xc3x98 Conduct bag checks, staff frisking, and manage movement of materials (Gate Pass system).
xc3x98 Oversee crowd control, especially during functions, events, and high occupancy periods.
Training & Compliance
xc3x98 Conduct regular training on hotel security protocol for all security personnel.
xc3x98 Ensure compliance with safety audits, fire drills, and mock emergency exercises.
xc3x98 Liaise with HR to ensure smooth onboarding and background verification of staff.
Technology & Systems Oversight
xc3x98 Monitor and maintain electronic surveillance, alarm systems, metal detectors, and visitor logs.
xc3x98 Ensure fire alarm control panels are functioning and integrated with security systems.
Requirements of the Assistant Fire & Security Manager:
xc3x98 Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a background in law enforcement, military, or hospitality security.
xc3x98 710 years of experience in security operations in hotels or the service industry.
xc3x98 Knowledge of security systems, CCTV operation, and local legal protocols.
xc3x98 Excellent crisis management, communication, and leadership skills.
xc3x98 Certifications in first aid, firefighting, or disaster management are advantageous.
