WSP is seeking an Assistant Consultant to join our large and growing Environmental technical team in Noida/Mumbai/Bengaluru to work with our UK wide national acoustics teams. The successful applicant will operate within a team of environmental professionals in Noida and will be part of the WSP UK acoustic team, delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the acoustics team by being an integral part of our client focused delivery of projects.
The work will initially have a data handling focus, including GIS deliverables and data analysis of raw survey information gathered by acoustics consultants in the UK. There will also be opportunities for the applicant to develop their consultancy skills and undertake noise modelling, providing input to technical reports and the costing and writing of proposals and other more complex tasks.
With approximately 45 acousticians in the UK, covering Environmental, Building Acoustics and complex vibration assessments, we are proud of our wide-ranging knowledge and expertise. You will be joining a well-respected, large and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors including residential, infrastructure, construction and healthcare.
You would provide support to our project managers and project directors based in the UK acoustics team. This may include for example:

Processing noise survey data.
?
Processing and reporting of long-term noise and vibration monitoring results.
?
Computer modelling (predominantly using ArcGIS, Odeon, Cadna and Sketch-up).
?
Undertaking calculations using UK British Standards and guidance documents.
?
Sifting and checking of traffic flow data and other large datasets.
?
Providing the role of document controller on larger projects.
?
Producing technical drawings and figures.
?
Communicating with UK colleagues on a daily basis such that they feel integrated with the team and understand the requirements of the projects.
Key Competencies / Skills
Mandatory skills

A relevant degree, equivalent qualification and/or previous relevant experience of no less than 2 years.

Working knowledge of Cadna and Odeon is essential.

Desired Skills
