As Assistant Director of Sales for our world-class 5-star Resort & Spa in the Canary Islands, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy, elevating brand positioning, and driving high-value business to one of the region's most exclusive luxury destinations. This role supports the Director of Sales in leading a high-performing team, nurturing elite relationships across global markets, and ensuring the resort consistently attracts discerning leisure travelers, premium tour operators, MICE planners, and affluent clientele.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Sales Leadership
Partner with the Director of Sales to create and implement a refined commercial strategy aligned with the resort's luxury standards and global brand vision.
Identify and develop premium business opportunities across international luxury travel networks, UHNW segments, and top-tier MICE markets.
Analyze competitive trends in the Canary Islands' luxury sector and provide strategic recommendations.
Contribute to annual budget planning, revenue forecasting, and premium market segmentation.
Elite Client Relationship Management
Manage and grow key luxury accounts including global travel designers, VIP leisure agents, premium tour operators, DMCs, and exclusive corporate partners.
Lead high-level site inspections, bespoke FAM trips, and VIP client experiences that reflect the resort's 5-star standards.
Negotiate contracts, packages, and partnerships in alignment with revenue management strategies and brand guidelines.
Team Leadership & Development
Support and mentor the Sales Managers and Executives to uphold luxury brand values in all sales interactions.
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
Lead daily sales briefings and ensure follow-up protocols meet 5-star service expectations.
Brand & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing to develop sophisticated sales collateral, campaigns, and luxury travel promotions.
Cooperate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and profitability across channels.
Ensure flawless communication with Operations, Events, Spa, F&B, and Front Office for all group and VIP requirements.
Group, Events & MICE Leadership
Support the growth of the resort's high-end MICE segment, including incentive retreats, executive board meetings, and destination weddings.
Oversee group RFPs, proposals, and handovers to ensure seamless delivery of luxury experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field; advanced certifications preferred.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in luxury hotel sales, preferably within resort environments.
Strong network within international luxury travel markets and familiarity with the Canary Islands tourism landscape.
Demonstrated success in luxury sales, negotiations, and relationship building.
Proficient with CRM and hotel systems
Fluent in English and Hindi, Marathi would be added advantage.
