Position Overview



The

Assistant Director

supports the Director in planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of the production process. This role involves coordinating across departments, maintaining shooting schedules, managing on-set operations, and overseeing wardrobe and costume-related activities to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.

Key Responsibilities



Production & Direction Support



Assist the Director in managing daily shoot schedules, call sheets, and scene breakdowns. Coordinate communication between departments including camera, art, lighting, sound, and wardrobe. Supervise rehearsals, blocking, and ensure scene continuity. Manage on-set logistics, including timing, cast readiness, and shot execution. Support in managing background actors and ensuring overall set discipline. Track daily progress and report updates to the production team.

Wardrobe & Costume Coordination



Collaborate with the Director and Costume Designer to align costume looks with character and scene requirements.

Supervise costume fittings, trials, and ensure proper look continuity. Oversee the organization, labeling, and maintenance of costume inventory. Coordinate timely costume changes during shoots and manage on-set wardrobe needs. Ensure proper care, cleaning, and transportation of costumes. Maintain continuity notes and visual references for costumes across scenes.

Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Fashion Design, or related field

preferred

. 2-4 years of experience in film/theatre/TV production. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle pressure and adapt to dynamic shooting environments. Understanding of wardrobe coordination and costume maintenance. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
