Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Director who can support end-to-end execution of shoots from pre-production planning to managing on-ground direction. In this hybrid role, you won't just be assisting, you'll be owning projects like a Director would. From prepping shot breakdowns to leading the set and collaborating with clients, you'll be at the heart of the action, making key creative and production calls. This is a unique opportunity for someone who's ready to step up, shape narratives, and bring a director's eye with an AD's hustle. This role demands excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to keep cast, crew and shoots running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Take creative and on-ground ownership of projects, guiding them from brief to post. Break down scripts and concepts into shot lists, visual references, and execution plans. Lead pre-production meetings, tech recces, and all shoot-day coordination. Direct talent and crew on set ensuring performance, visuals, and flow align with the creative vision. Work closely with the creative team and producers to maintain consistency in tone and quality. Create and manage shoot schedules, call sheets, and production documentation. Ensure smooth communication across teams handling both creative direction and production logistics. Oversee post-production along with editors and animators to ensure the final output matches intent.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience in film production, branded content, digital ads, or social-first video. A background in filmmaking, communication, or media is a plus but your portfolio matters more than your degree. Hands-on experience in directing or co-directing content (even without the formal title). Excellent shot sense, an eye for storytelling, and clarity in visual communication. Can lead a team, direct a performance, and handle pressure. Understand framing, lenses, lighting basics, and post-production workflows. Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points if You

Have worked independently on smaller shoots or directed digital/social content. Have experience working across formats, from narrative to testimonial to stylized montage. Are a multitasker who enjoys wearing many hats: creative, logistical, and directional. Have ideas and vision, but also the discipline to bring them to life on time and within budget.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
