Chandigarh University is hiring The Assistant Dean [or Coordinator] - Academic Affairs [Outcome Based Education] in \'Department of Academic Affairs\' [under Pro VC - Academic Affairs] Key Responsibilities: 1. Training of Faculty members on Outcome Based Education [OBE] 2. Ensure and help the Departments in defining Program Outcomes, Course Outcomes Learning Goals in alignment with university vision & mission (PEOs, POs, PIs, Cos, CIs) 3. Ensure measurable Course Outcomes are defined in alignment with POs(PIs & CIs) (CO- PO/and CO-PI mapping are justified) 4. Ensure the completion of Lecture Plans, Mapping of correct COs, and assessment in correct manner. 5. Strengthen measures to assess Program/Course outcomes(Direct & Indirect Methods) 6. Device Methodologies for indirect assessment of POs/PIs. 7. Coordinate with ERP team for implementation and improvement of CO/PO , as per policy [NEP or UGC/AICTE Guidelines] 8. Updating the existing Policies in regards to new guidelines by UGC/NEP2020/AICTE etc. 9. Verify the quality of the Question Bank in support with Examination Department 10. Develop rubrics for continuous improvement by analyzing the PI/PO 11. Monitoring of remedial measure for students at risk, and analyze the effectiveness of the measures taken by the departments 12. Ensure continuous improvement of attainment calculations, and offer ideas to improve the system, along with proposing required implementation to the ERP team 13. Ensure design of proper direct evaluation instruments, for assignments and continuous evaluation (IA/MST/EST), mapped to assess PO/PIs and courses\' levels 14. Collect and analyze assessment data and suggest improvements, based on analysis 15. Evaluate the effectiveness of program modifications and improvements made, based on assessment/ actions taken by the departments to improve students\' performance 16. Resolve the errors faced by faculty in lecture plan, mapping, question bank uploading, 17. Come up with ideas towards transforming the rote learning to Skill Based Learning, and propose solutions in regards for its implementation. [B] Essential Qualities/Qualifications/Attributes: (a) Must have a postgraduate degree. (b) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to effectively interact with international students. (c) Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling concerns of students, or international students. (d) Strong commitment to student welfare and a genuine desire to support and enhance the overall experience of international students. (e) Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. [C] Preferable Qualities/Qualifications/Attributes : (a) Preferably has 5 years of experience in students\' welfare. (b) Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. (c) Innovative thinking and proactive approach, for organizing events and welfare activities for international students. (d) Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for tracking the effectiveness of welfare initiatives and making data-driven decisions. (e) Functional Knowledge of Coordination with diverse teams would be an advantage.
