Assist the main cook/chef in daily food preparation.
Wash, clean, peel, chop, and cut vegetables and ingredients.
Help in preparing basic dishes, gravies, chutneys, and accompaniments.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area at all times.
Follow hygiene and safety standards while handling food.
Assist in serving food during meal times.
Support in storing ingredients properly (dry storage, cold storage).
Ensure utensils, vessels, and kitchen equipment are kept clean.
Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly.
Follow instructions from the chef and kitchen supervisor.
2. Skills & Requirements
Basic knowledge of cooking and food handling.
Ability to assist in preparing meals as per guidelines.
Good hygiene practices and cleanliness.
Ability to work under pressure and during peak times.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
3. Qualifications & Experience
No formal education required (basic literacy preferred).
0-2 years of experience in kitchen work or assisting cooks.
Experience in hospital/healthcare kitchen or Ayurvedic diet kitchen is an added advantage.
