The Ground Water team comprises over 200 people in the UK, Ireland and India generating over 30M of revenue a year. Technical delivery is mainly associated with land and groundwater quality modelling and assessment, identifying potential risks to the environment and helping our clients manage those risks. We are growing our world class team to ensure we continue to deliver the high calibre of service and technical excellence that both we and our clients expect.


We are seeking an individual to act as a Deputy Project Manager / Project Coordinator for our technically challenging and complex projects. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager used to working with an international delivery model, to provide high quality project management support services.


The types of projects that we deliver are highly varied and include some of the UK's and Ireland's most exciting and nationally important large-scale infrastructure schemes (for example National Grid's Great Grid Upgrade, East-West Rail, Sizewell C, Dublin Metro), as well as associated developments and programmes for the built environment. Our clients are public and private entities, and key sectors we operate in include highways, rail, aviation, defence, nuclear, residential and property, energy generation and renewables, and transmission and distribution. We have a broad coverage across the project cycle, from supporting business cases, to securing consents and permits, to design and construction, to operation and finally to decommissioning and demolition.

As a Deputy Project Manager

Assist Project Managers and Project Directors in fulfilling contracted project management obligations throughout the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion including opportunity governance and pricing, budget creation and change management and working capital management making effective contributions to project management processes, regardless of project scale or complexity. Assist in developing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance metrics by applying tools and procedures that contribute to successful project delivery. Operate independently with minimal supervision by planning and prioritizing work to ensure scope of service obligations are met. Champion excellent health and safety practices to achieve safe, sustainable, and efficient outcomes that meet agreed objectives. Proactively identify and highlight threats to progress and scope of service obligations. Prepare monthly reports, meeting minutes, and other management documentation to support successful delivery including the monitoring and updating of project schedules and progress against milestones. Assist in developing project management documentation, including project management plans, cost estimates and forecasts, risk registers, project schedules, and stakeholder registers. Undertake information management activities via industry-standard Common Data Environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise. Work with multi-disciplinary environmental project teams consisting of technical and professional staff and suppliers. Assist in the administration of supplier contracts.
