Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Colorist to support our Lead Colorist and post-production team. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of our workflow, from initial ingest and conform to final delivery. The ideal candidate is a DaVinci Resolve power-user who understands the science of color as much as the art of it.

Key Responsibilities

Conform & Prep:

Prep timelines for color sessions, ensuring all clips, transitions, and effects match the offline edit.

Project Management:

Manage project archiving, restoration, and media management across shared storage.

Technical Support:

Set up color suites, calibrate monitors, and troubleshoot technical issues during sessions.

Rendering & Delivery:

Execute final renders in various formats (SDR, HDR, Social, etc.) and perform rigorous Quality Control (QC) to catch artifacts or glitches.

Color Grading:

Under the guidance of the Lead Colorist, perform initial color balances, match shots, or handle "dailies" grading.

Client Relations:

Assist in client sessions, ensuring a professional environment and handling any immediate technical requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Software:

Expert-level proficiency in

DaVinci Resolve

(Baselight or Lustre experience is a plus).

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of codecs, color spaces (ACES, Rec.709, P3), bit depth, and frame rates.

Visual Literacy:

A strong eye for color, contrast, and skin tone consistency.

Organization:

Ability to multitask and stay organized under tight deadlines.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with directors, DPs, and producers.
Preferred Experience

2+ years of experience in a post-production house environment. Experience with HDR workflows and Dolby Vision. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for round-tripping workflows.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
