We are looking for an experienced and target-driven
Assistant Manager - Tele Collections
to lead, manage, and monitor the tele-calling collections team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving monthly recovery targets, improving team performance, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong customer relationship practices within the collections process.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & Operations
Lead a team of tele-collection executives and ensure daily productivity targets are met.
Assign portfolios, monitor call quality, and guide the team on collection strategies.
Provide regular coaching, training, and motivation to improve team performance.
Track attendance, daily reports, calling patterns, and follow-ups.
Collection Strategy & Performance
Plan and execute strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly recovery targets.
Handle escalated customer cases, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes.
Review aging buckets and take action on high-risk accounts.
Improve hit rate, PTP conversions, and recovery percentages.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on team performance.
Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, company collection policies, and quality parameters.
Maintain accurate customer communication records and update CRM/collection tools.
Audit call logs, payment commitments, and ensure ethical collection practices.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with the backend team for payment updates, settlements, and NOC processing.
Work with field collections team for difficult cases and escalations.
Liaise with the banking/finance partner for reporting and process updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in
tele-collections
, recovery, or banking NBFC collections.
Minimum 1 year experience in team handling (TL/Assistant Manager role preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Good understanding of collections metrics, buckets, and recovery techniques.
Ability to handle pressure and manage a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, and CRM tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience in banking, NBFC, fintech, or telecom collections.
Knowledge of soft skills training and call quality improvement.
Ability to motivate and mentor a young team.
