Job Description

The Assistant Civil Supervisor will support the civil execution team in day-to-day site activities related to construction, finishing, and readiness of the Nursing College and the Hospital infrastructure. The role is primarily execution-oriented and works under close supervision to ensure civil works are carried out as per drawings, specifications, safety norms, and timelines.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Site execution support

Assist in supervising daily civil works such as masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing, and external development Support senior civil staff in ensuring works are executed as per approved drawings and instructions Coordinate with contractors and workers on-site to ensure smooth workflow

Quality assistance

Assist in monitoring workmanship and material quality under guidance of the Civil Supervisor/Engineer Report any quality deviations, unsafe practices, or site issues to seniors promptly Follow and enforce basic site safety norms and instructions issued by senior staff

Coordination

Support coordination between civil works and allied services such as electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, HVAC, and interiors Assist in avoiding rework by ensuring correct sequencing of activities as guided Help in tracking daily work progress and manpower deployment

Documentation support

Assist in taking site measurements and maintaining basic site records Support preparation of daily progress reports and work completion updates Maintain site registers, checklists, and documentation as instructed

Skills and competencies

Basic understanding of civil construction practices and materials Ability to read simple civil drawings with guidance Willingness to learn and work under supervision Good coordination and communication skills Physically fit for on-site construction activities

Qualifications and experience

ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. 0-3 years of experience in construction, institutional, hospital, or commercial projects. Freshers with site exposure or internship experience may also be considered.
