Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate

Assistant Chef

to join a private culinary team serving an HNI client in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of an Executive Chef and specialize in preparing a wide variety of

authentic Jain vegetarian dishes

, adhering strictly to Jain dietary principles.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in daily meal preparation and kitchen operations Prepare diverse Jain meals including traditional, fusion, and health-conscious options Ensure all ingredients and cooking methods comply with Jain dietary restrictions (no onion, garlic, root vegetables, etc.) Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and taste Innovate and experiment with Jain recipes to offer variety and seasonal menus Support in grocery planning, inventory management, and kitchen cleanliness Accommodate client preferences and feedback with professionalism and discretion
Requirements

Proven experience in Indian vegetarian cooking, preferably Jain cuisine Familiarity with Jain dietary laws and cultural sensitivities Ability to work in a private household setting with confidentiality and respect Culinary training or relevant certifications preferred Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn and adapt under the supervision of the Executive Chef Residing in or willing to relocate to Nerul, Navi Mumbai
