Responsibilities

Support food production activities across different sections of the kitchen, including hot, cold, pastry, and banquet stations.
Supervise junior kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food handling, safety procedures, and efficient workflow.
Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability aligns with upcoming service needs.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and assisting with ordering to minimize waste.
Uphold strict food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness, proper storage practices, and adherence to health regulations.
Collaborate with catering teams for special events or large banquets, ensuring timely preparation and quality service.
Oversee shift management tasks such as scheduling, coordinating staff duties, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Support restaurant management in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent food service and teamwork.
Participate in training sessions on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and new menu items to continually enhance skills.
Skills
Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong foundation in food preparation and kitchen operations.
Prior banquet experience demonstrating ability to handle large-scale catering events efficiently.
Supervising experience within a fast-paced kitchen setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments or specialized menus.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff under pressure.
Excellent understanding of inventory management, food handling procedures, and food safety regulations.
Skilled in food production techniques including cooking, plating, and presentation for diverse cuisines.
Experience with restaurant management tasks such as shift management, menu planning, and customer service coordination.
Familiarity with catering services, hospitality standards, and restaurant operations across various settings.
