We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. This role requires a passion for cooking, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Chef will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, menu planning, and team management.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Support menu planning and ensure that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards. Oversee food production processes to maintain consistency and quality across all offerings. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones. Assist in catering events and banquets as required, ensuring timely service delivery. Participate in shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.

Skills



Proven experience in food production and kitchen management within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining or restaurant settings. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, including proper food handling techniques. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising or managing kitchen staff. Proficient in inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels. Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining quality standards. Experience in catering services, banquet preparation, or similar roles is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration within a busy kitchen environment. Familiarity with hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
