Assist and report to the Engineering Manager to ensure smooth running of daily engineering operations.
To assist in setting up, configuring, operating and maintaining equipment used in the field of Television Broadcast.
To assist in troubleshooting equipment and report to the Engineers if there are problems with the equipment and if necessary as advised, inform the manufacturer.
To assist in checking equipment from return shipment on a technical level, with the help of the storekeeping team to ensure that equipment return matches the packing list.
After checking, identify missing items and prepare a discrepancy report.
To identify faulty equipment(s) from returned shipments, and with engineers' guidance, prepare a fault report and communicate with the Engineering Manager and Head office for further action.
To perform each work task with professional skill, due care and diligence to the best of its ability, and under the highest industry standards and practices for works.
To assist Engineers in keeping the equipment updated with the new manufacturers' software.
Take initiative and be willing to learn at all times and with the guidance of Broadcast Engineers, new technologies that have not been experienced or worked with before.
Take responsibility for all work health and safety matters and comply with the statutory safety requirements and NEP India Health and Safety Policies.
To be flexible in work travel plans includes taking on any role/ work assigned to you in the Engineering Department or within the NEP Group.
Any other ad-hoc duties which may not be listed in this but are necessary when the task arises.
What you can expect from the job:
This is a field engineering position and requires the candidates to be hands-on, willing, and able to travel on projects for extended periods of time.
You will be trained on broadcast equipment and are required to achieve a certain level of expertise.
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, operation, packing, unpacking, installation, and dismantling of the equipment regularly.
Your work location could vary across projects, i.e., you will be required to work outdoors in diverse locations which could include sporting venues, stadiums, conference locations, auditoriums, or studios located anywhere in the world.
You will be required to travel to various international locations where projects will be conducted. Some of our project locations include Australia, England, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, UAE, UK, and USA.
Experience:
* A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the Broadcast industry is essential.
