Make a difference as an Assistant Breeder- Okra
As an Assistant Breeder - Okra, you will play a key role in supporting the breeding program by:Assisting in all activities of the Okra breeding project, from translating breeding targets into operational plans to executing field and greenhouse activities. Supporting critical decision-making moments in the breeding cycle, including plant and line selections. Maintaining accurate and detailed records throughout the breeding process. Participating in the advancement of breeding material to R2 stage, planning trial productions, and evaluating screening trials. Contributing to the implementation of new technologies and traits within the breeding program. You will be based in Bangalore and work closely with the Breeder and other team members in India and globally.

What you bring as a future colleagueM.Sc. in Genetics & Plant Breeding from a reputed agricultural university in India. 3-5 years of relevant experience in an Okra breeding program. Strong knowledge of modern breeding methods and breeding software/tools. Good understanding of market demands and key traits in Okra. A proactive, innovative mindset and strong decision-making skills. Curiosity and eagerness to learn and apply new technologies in breeding. * You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by the challenge of developing better vegetable varieties for the future.
