Position Overview
The
Accounts & Finance Manager
will oversee core accounting operations, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, banking, and audit coordination across multiple manufacturing units and business verticals. The role acts as a
key operational finance lead
, supporting the
Finance & Accounts Head
while managing Accounts Managers and Executives to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls across domestic and export operations.
This is a
hands-on leadership role
requiring deep expertise in accounting, taxation, ERP systems, and manufacturing finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including
GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and inter-unit accounting
.
Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.
Review trial balances, schedules, and financial statements before submission to the Finance Head.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and statutory reviews.
2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
Ensure end-to-end compliance with
GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC
, and other applicable laws.
Review GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliations with GSTR-2B, and resolve mismatches.
Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and statutory authorities during audits, assessments, and notices.
Monitor due dates to ensure
zero penalties and non-compliance
.
3. Cost Control & Inventory Accounting
Monitor manufacturing costs, overheads, and cost variances across units.
Ensure correct valuation of
raw materials, WIP, finished goods
, and by-products.
Support physical stock verification, inventory reconciliations, and loss/wastage analysis.
Work closely with production and stores teams to strengthen inventory controls.
4. Banking, Treasury & Export Finance
Manage banking operations including payments, collections, fund planning, and reconciliations.
Handle
Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, export documentation, forex transactions, and insurance
.
Monitor working capital limits, utilization, and credit control.
Coordinate with banks for renewals, documentation, and compliance requirements.
5. MIS, Reporting & Management Support
Prepare and review
MIS reports
, profitability analysis, unit-wise performance reports, and cash flow statements.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making for sales, procurement, production, and exports.
Assist the Finance Head in
budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
activities.
6. ERP, Controls & Process Improvement
Ensure effective utilization of
SAP / Tally ERP
for accounting, compliance, and reporting.
Strengthen internal controls, SOP adherence, and audit readiness across locations.
Identify gaps and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise Accounts Managers, Executives, and junior staff across locations.
Allocate responsibilities, review work output, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Train team members on compliance updates, ERP usage, and accounting best practices.
Ensure discipline, accountability, and ethical financial practices within the team.

Qualifications & Experience
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
preferred
8-12 years
of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in
FMCG, manufacturing, or export-oriented organizations
Strong knowledge of
GST, Income Tax, audits, and export finance
Hands-on experience with
SAP and Tally ERP
Experience managing
multi-location and multi-unit operations
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
High integrity, attention to detail, and process-driven mindset
