OIA Global is privately held by LDI, Ltd. Summary: Assistant Accounting Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, evaluate current accounting policies and procedures and work with the regional finance team to determine if they are still appropriate. Suggest and implement changes as appropriate to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close process by adhering to the close calendar and Company policies and procedures, while working cross-functionally with other colleagues to deliver on-time and accurate monthly financials.
Responsible for, intercompany and cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses.
Review general ledger to ensure that all material activity has been captured and recorded accurately and on time.
Provide analysis of cash flow, operating costs and variances. Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions
Provide accurate and timely financial information and develop monthly and quarterly reports to facilitate the decision making process
Support the station\xe2\x80\x99s annual budget process, and assist to analyze the variances from plan when needed. Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other personnel in resolving financial issues
Work with the Regional Finance Director and act as the point of contact with audit firm to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Responsible for monthly tax and related work
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 8 years related experience in finance/accounting field
Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Supervisor or Finance Manager
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Education and Experience:
University Degree in Accounting or Finance required
7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a certified public accountant, experience working in freight forwarding industry an advantage
