for The Howrah Hotel. The role requires a mature, hands-on professional with strong knowledge of hospitality accounting, GST, and Tally, ensuring financial discipline and regulatory compliance.
Record all income, expenses, cash, bank, and journal entries
Handle
daily cash reconciliation
, banking, and petty cash control
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS reports
GST & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file
GST returns
accurately and on time
Ensure correct GST treatment for room revenue, F&B, and other services
Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors as required
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory requirements
Hotel Revenue & Cost Control
Reconcile room revenue, OTA collections, and commissions
Track F&B sales, food cost, beverage cost, and inventory valuation
Monitor expenses and highlight cost overruns
Assist management with budgeting and expense control
Vendor & Payroll Management
Maintain vendor accounts and ensure timely payments
Verify invoices and supporting documents
Assist with payroll processing, salary disbursements, and statutory deductions
Maintain employee records related to payroll and compliance
Audit & Documentation
Maintain proper financial records and documentation
Support internal and external audits
Ensure all vouchers, bills, and statutory records are properly filed
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of financial records
GST and statutory compliance without penalties
Effective cash and cost control
Timely MIS and financial reporting
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) - Mandatory
Minimum 15 years of accounting experience
, preferably in hotels or service industry
Strong working knowledge of
Tally
(mandatory)
Sound knowledge of
GST
, taxation, and statutory compliance
Experience in hospitality accounting will be an advantage
