Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team, dedicated to providing bookkeeping services to our clients based in the United Kingdom. This is an onsite role in our Surat office. The ideal candidate will have basic hands-on experience in bookkeeping, with excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of UK accounting standards.
Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for UK clients.

• Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and support credit control.

• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliation and assist with month-end tasks.

• Assist with payroll support and statutory compliance as per UK regulations.

• Support VAT returns and related compliance requirements.

• Prepare basic financial reports and assist with audit and year-end support as required.

• Collaborate with internal team members and UK clients, ensuring clear and professional communication.

Requirements
Skills & Experience

• Basic bookkeeping experience, preferably with exposure to UK clients or markets.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero and Sage).

• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and compliance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

• Willingness to work onsite in our Surat office.
