Job Title:

Assistant Accountant

Work Description / Responsibilities:

The Assistant Accountant will support the Chartered Accountant in day-to-day accounting, taxation, and audit assignments. The major responsibilities include:

Income Tax Work

Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, companies, and other entities Computation of taxable income and tax liability Assistance in handling income tax notices, replies, and assessments Maintenance of income tax records and documents

GST Work

Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) Reconciliation of GST data with books of accounts Assistance in GST audits, notices, and compliance matters Maintenance of GST records and client data

Audit Work

Assistance in statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, and other audits Verification of books of accounts, vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents Preparation of audit working papers and schedules Assisting in finalization of audit reports

Accounting Work

Entry and maintenance of books of accounts in Tally Bank reconciliation statements (BRS) Ledger scrutiny and account reconciliation Preparation of trial balance, profit & loss account, and balance sheet

General Office & Compliance Work

Client coordination and follow-up for documents Maintenance of records, files, and data in digital and physical form Support in compliance with statutory deadlines

Basic Knowledge & Skills Required:

Working knowledge of

Tally (ERP/Prime)

Proficiency in

MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office

Basic understanding of

Income Tax, GST, Accounting, and Auditing

Ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines Good communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / pursuing CA (Articleship or assistant role) Prior experience in a CA firm will be an advantage

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
