Entry-Level Job Profile: Manufacturing Accounting & Inventory Management (Food Industry)Position Overview

This role supports inventory accounting and reporting activities in a food manufacturing setup. The candidate will be responsible for recording material transactions, assisting in production-related inward/outward entries, and preparing basic reports to support smooth inventory and cost control processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in recording and verifying

Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)

for raw material inward entries. Maintain and monitor

Material Issue Notes (MIN)

for material issued to production. Record and track

production inwards/outwards

(finished goods transferred from production to stores and dispatches). Help in maintaining daily

stock registers

for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods. Support in preparing reports on material consumption, wastage, and yield for food industry processes. Assist in stock reconciliations (physical vs. system balance). Generate basic MIS reports related to

inventory movement, stock aging, and daily production flow

. Coordinate with

stores, production, and dispatch teams

to ensure smooth flow of inventory data.

Skills & Competencies

Basic understanding of

inventory process flow

in food manufacturing. Knowledge of GRN, MIN, stock ledger, and production inward/outward recording. Proficiency in

MS Excel

(basic formulas, pivot tables). Attention to detail, accuracy in recording transactions, and eagerness to learn.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in inventory/accounts in manufacturing. Internship/training experience in food manufacturing/processing industry preferred.

Key Deliverables

Accurate and timely entry of GRN, MIN, production inward/outward transactions. Daily/weekly inventory movement reports. Stock reconciliation reports with variances highlighted. MIS support for production, inventory, and dispatch tracking.
