Job Responsibilities:Assembly Fitters:
Carry out mechanical assembly and fitting of machine components as per engineering drawings.
Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, etc.).
Align and fit components precisely for sub-assemblies and final machines.
Perform drilling, tapping, and minor fabrication when required.
Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the workstation.
Scrapers:
Perform manual scraping of guideways, surfaces, and mating parts for achieving high-accuracy fits.
Read and interpret scraping patterns using Prussian blue / red lead methods.
Ensure dimensional and geometric accuracy according to drawing tolerances.
Work closely with fitters and quality control for alignment and accuracy checks.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in machine assembly or scraping in a machine tool or heavy engineering industry.
Fresher candidates with ITI (Fitter) background can be considered for fitting under supervision.
Education:
ITI Fitter / Mechanical / NCTVT or equivalent trade certification.
Other Requirements:
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with workshop safety standards.
Physically fit and willing to work overtime or shifts if needed.
