Profile: Ass. Purchase Manager-Construction-Surat-35k
Experience: Minimum experience required 3/ 3.5 (Mandatory)
Salary Range: 30k-35k
Roles:
Execute end-to-end purchase activities including indent processing, vendor quotations, PO issuance and follow-ups.
Ensure timely procurement of materials, tools, equipment and services required for construction and project execution.
Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers/vendors to support business needs and project timelines.
Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, delivery terms, quality and contracts.
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and audits.
Maintain accurate procurement records including POs, contracts, invoices and delivery receipts.
Coordinate with stores/inventory teams to manage stock levels and avoid both overstock and shortages.
Liaise with project planning/operations teams to forecast material requirements.
Support cost-saving initiatives and contribute to procurement strategy improvements.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety standards and statutory requirements.
Liaise with planning and execution teams for material requirement forecasting
Track market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness
