The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing distribution, and strengthening market presence in the assigned territory. The role requires prior ASM-level experience in the FMCG sector and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
Expand distribution network and ensure product availability across all markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key partners.
Ensure proper coverage, product visibility, and merchandising across outlets.
Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs and evaluate team performance
Identify new business opportunities and potential markets to expand distribution.
Monitor sales team performance through route plans, productivity reports & daily activity tracking.
Handle escalations, resolve distributor/retailer issues, and maintain strong trade relations.
Implement trade promotions, schemes, and visibility programs effectively.
Requirements:
1-2 years of proven experience as an ASM in the FMCG field (mandatory).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
Strong understanding of FMCG distribution, retail channels, and market dynamics
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, guide, and motivate a sales team.
Willingness to travel extensively across South Kerala.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
