Deutsche Bank Agency Securities Lending (ASL) is the lending division of Global Transaction Banking, Cash management with operations supported by Global Transaction Banking CIB Ops & Tech. The primary responsibility of this department is to focus on being a third-party lending provider, offering a lending product to sophisticated external and internal clients supported by our business.
As a third-party lender DB ASL have full access to our clients' portfolios both via full/part Power of Attorney, or instruction execution via their global custodian. The program has been designed to actively provide lending services around fixed income and equity products, to the broker community and internal Deutsche Bank groups, as part of our self-collateralization product. The execution of equity/bond loans raises cash and security collateral that both needs to be managed and invested in products such as tri-party, reverse repo, outright and overnight cash deposits.
The role is within the ASL Operations/middle office team based in India, whose prime responsibility is to monitor all operational aspects of our PSPP Central Bank clients, provide support/oversight to the ASL operations teams in DIPL, along with supporting DB ASL's Front office.

Role is part of the Global Cash, Surveillance & Messaging and ASL Operations, to lead a diverse team across 3 locations Bangalore, Jaipur and Pune.
The Vice President (VP) of the ASL Ops, will be primarily responsible for leading the Service Delivery for ASL Ops locally reporting to Director (Global Cash Operations - India NOC) and functionally reporting to Global Head of ASL Operations based in London
The VP (ASL Operations) is responsible for managing multiple teams across locations providing services to all regions on 24x 6 basis, across a follow the sun model covering EMEA, US and APAC time zones.
Own the end-to-end process by ensuring controls are enhanced, risks are mitigated to achieve zero error delivery and process is automated as much as possible.
Daily interaction with DB ASL trading desks (London/Frankfurt/New York) and client services team, building and maintaining strong internal relationships with Business & Global Ops teams.

Understand and apply ASL Ops strategies and objectives on key aspects of Service Delivery, Cost, Risk & control, Transformation & efficiency /Process Improvement, People, Regulatory compliance to own Operations unit * Delivery on any global Transformation initiatives
Keep all operational guidelines updated and ensure adherence to standards, procedures and identify risk mitigated wherever there is a control issue
Conduct regular operational performance reviews
Effectively manage risk and adherence to the risk & control framework in line with Regulatory requirements / Internal policies /Audit standards
Responsible for managing complete and correct processing of transactions in a timely manner (including performing all relevant controls)
Develop strong engagement with Regions/Branch Served and all internal stakeholders
Ensure all Group Policies requirements are adhered
Manage teams performing various processes within ASL Operations.
Resource /Headcount Management for the Area/Region served.
Liaise with stakeholders and Vendor Management team for various aspects relating to Service delivery of the team
Ensure Quality awareness within the team
Manage transitions on time-to-time basis
Service Delivery Governance Framework through performance reviews like SDM, ORB etc
Role involves managing a team of ~ 40 employees involving AVPs, Associates and Analysts /Sr Analysts
Actively supports the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture

Operations experience with exposure to the globes trading markets
Experience of the following systems is beneficial; Global One, RMW (Agency Lending "front end" system), Bloomberg, BoNY Access ADM, Clearstream OnLine, EasyWay.
