Job Description

Define, design and verify ASIC and ASIC subsystems to be deployed in a range of Cisco platforms. Contribute to a multi-disciplined engineering team to meet the power, performance, and area goals for products. Design, document, and develop ASIC subsystems for release in high volume and quality. Help define the process, methods, and tools for design and implementation of complex developments.What You'll Do: o Oversees the definition, architecture and design of high performance ASICso Oversees all applications and code including methodology of reusable codeo Oversees code creation and determines methodology behind codingo Consults for architecture and design decisions for complex areaso Drives design solutions across the businesso Creates guidelines and standardso Creates innovative verification strategieso Oversees system level verification using test bencheso Ensures culture of code reviews and postmortemso Architects and designs analog/mixed-signal circuitso Reviews complex IC designs and makes recommendations for improvementso Directs the mixed-signal team to define requirements, influences packaging and hardware team to ensure specifications are meto Oversees all physical design functions bringing technical expertise to highly complex scenarioso Interfaces with vendors and design leads on complex issueso Drives different technology design rules to develop innovative packagesMinimum Qualifications: Typically: Bachelors + 12 years of related experience, or Masters + 8 years of related experience, or PhD + 5 years of related experiencePreferred QualificationsVaries based on the team and business needs | Preferred Qualifications are desired education, experience, and skills that are in addition to Minimum Qualifications
