The AS9100D QMS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in strict accordance with AS9100 Revision D and ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role involves working cross-functionally to ensure regulatory compliance, coordinating audit activities, managing documentation, and fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
QMS Implementation & Maintenance:
Ensure that all processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented, and maintained in compliance with AS9100D requirements.
? Documentation & Procedure Control:
Manage the QMS documentation system, including creating, updating, revising, and controlling quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Internal Audits:
Plan and conduct internal process and system audits to evaluate compliance with AS9100D and internal procedures. Document non-conformities and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
External Audits & Liaison:
Serve as a primary liaison with external certification bodies and customer representatives during third-party certification and surveillance audits. Coordinate closure of open action items from audits.
? Corrective Actions (CA):
Facilitate the root cause analysis (RCA) and CA processes to address non-conformities, using tools such as 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and 5 Whys to drive permanent solutions.
? Risk Management & Product Safety:
Support the implementation of risk-based thinking and operational risk management activities, with a focus on product safety, human factors, and the prevention of counterfeit parts as required by AS9100D.
? Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance. Prepare reports and data for regular management reviews to inform strategic decisions.
? Training & Awareness:
Develop and deliver training programs to employees on the QMS, quality policy, objectives, and their role in ensuring compliance and product conformity.
? Supplier Quality:
Support the quality manager in coordinating with suppliers to ensure their compliance with quality and documentation standards (AS9100/ISO).
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, etc.) or a related technical field is preferred.

? Experience
: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or QMS role within a manufacturing environment.
Direct experience in the aerospace, aviation, or defense industry with exposure to AS9100 is mandatory.
? Hands-on experience in managing and coordinating internal and external audits.
Required Skills
? Technical Skills:
In-depth understanding of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards and their implementation.
o Knowledge of core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
o Familiarity with aerospace-specific requirements like First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) as per AS9102.
o Proficiency in QMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
? Certifications:
o AS9100D Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
o Relevant certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) (e.g., CQA, CQE) are a plus.
? Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to work with cross-functional teams and external parties.
o Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for documentation control.
