We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AS400 iSeries Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform. This role involves integrating legacy systems with modern platforms, including API development using WebSphere, code promotion via Aldon, and batch job management using Robot Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities

Proficiency in iSeries commands, CL programming, and IBM i system navigation.


3+ years of hands-on experience administering IBM i/AS400/iSeries environments.


Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve backup-related issues efficiently.


Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, DDS, and embedded SQL programming.


Hands-on experience with API development and integration using IBM WebSphere.


Solid understanding of SDLC and change control procedures.


Experience with job scheduling, automation, and monitoring using Robot Scheduler.


Experience with DB2 and data file maintenance.

Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL applications on the AS400/iSeries platform. Develop and integrate APIs using IBM WebSphere for communication between iSeries and external systems. Manage code promotion and change management processes using Aldon Lifecycle Manager. Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using Robot Scheduler. Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather and define technical requirements. Provide production support, resolve incidents, and implement enhancements as needed. Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation for audits and support. Maintain records of the conversations with the customer and analyze the data. Handling customer queries on Chat and E-mails.
