Job Title AS400 Developer

Job Posting Title: iSeries Developer.

You will be part of a Team of Professionals who excel in delivering technical solutions in Client enhancements and provide innovative solutions in Application Maintenance. Your involvement will be in designing, developing, and supporting the solutions that are delivered. Your role also requires you to work with surround teams that are involved in providing the holistic solution to the client. Your direct and indirect involvement will result in our clients being successful and may result in additional business opportunities.

What you will do:

• Preparing technical designs to meet the business requirements.
• Participating in development activities with onshore resources.
• Preparing test plan for unit testing, regression testing, system, and production parallel testing.
• Conducting technical walkthroughs with all stakeholders.
• Supporting System Testing and resolving any technical issues faced by QA.
• Coding and testing high priority and critical changes utilizing CL, RPGLE, PF, DB2/400
• Handling Change Requests for implementing changes and owning them until closure.
• Meeting with project managers to provide daily or weekly project statuses.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
• 5+ years of iSeries experience.
• Must have strong iSeries technical skills (CL/RPGLE/PF).
• Must have strong understanding of Batch job processing. Knowledge of Robot scheduler is a plus.
• Sound knowledge in DB2/400 queries.
• Knowledge of file transmission tools SFTP/ConnectDirect.
• Knowledge in Change management tool preferably Turnover.
• Working knowledge in Printer files and Display files.
• Work on batch as well as online programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Follow standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome.
• Develop technical documents for the application.
• Perform application support as necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with usage of MS office \xe2\x80\x93 Outlook, Word, Excel. SharePoint, Teams.

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge in Credit card domain.
• Knowledge in Basic Java programming.
