Job Title: AS400 Admin

Role: Admin

Responsibilities:
OS upgrade

BRMS

PTF management

User profile management

Work management, i.e., includes job scheduling and submitting the job batch jobs.

Disaster recovery using BRMS or HA tools (MIMIX, iCluster, Power HA etc.,)


Key responsibilities:
Backup management

HA tools replication process (MIIMX, iCluster, PowerHA etc.,)

MQ




Skill requirement:

AS400: OS upgrade, User profile management, Work management, Performance tuning.



Project specific requirement:
Monitoring and controlling all the subsystems, Batch jobs, Interactive jobs, output queues, and job queues.

Creating user profiles and working with user profiles.

Object management & Journal Management.

Security and user authority administration - Authority to access objects - Security levels - System values - Authorization lists.

Monitoring the Disaster Recovery and Development Server.

Managing Data Replication in DR server through Mimix Journal Management.

Starting and Ending the MIMIX Subsystem on daily basis.

Monitoring and clearing the error in MIMIX on daily Basis.

Working with Media Library.

Taking daily health check list in Production, DR & Development Machine.

Restarting the HTTP Server

Taking Incremental Backup on Daily basis.

Taking All User Library backup on Weekly basis.

Taking Entire System backup on Monthly basis.

Cumulative PTF Installation done in Prod, DR & Development Server.

Moving the Objects from One As400 Server to another As400 Server, and Desktop to Server, Server to Desktop through
